Indventa 4.0 is an online exhibition aimed to showcase undergraduate students' final project from Product Design Study Programme, Institut Teknologi Bandung.

I knew this event from Instagram ads this morning (26 July 2021). Apparently today is the last day of this event (⊙_⊙)?Why the ad just showing up now? The ad can be seen below.

Anyway. I got intrigued as it mentioned an "online exhibition" in the ad. I decided to checked the site out through handphone first, but then decided to move to laptop for better viewing experience.

Based on my quick understanding, the event, entitled Indventa 4.0is an online exhibition aimed to showcase undergraduate students' final project from Product Design Study Programme, Institut Teknologi Bandung.

First, when you enter the website, you will see this screen as their landing page.

If you see the website from small screen handphone (like mine), you need to scroll down first to see the enter button. That small block in the left-most-corner is a hamburger menu button, which includes navigation toward About and Gallery page.

You won't see the menu in desktop version. In desktop, you will see event name, short description and enter button. And that's it. You need to click the enter button for further exhibition.

Upon entering the website, whether using mobile or desktop, you are gonna encounter three best graduate's (which I think already decided by the committee/team) final project. Then you need to click Find Out More to see more.

Then you are gonna see all posts, formatted as a gallery, in diagonal from top to bottom. There's a sign to enjoy the exhibition for the visitor. There are 40 (fourty) projects that you can see here. With quick search, all pages seems like have been indexed by Google, so I think this final projects could reach more people as time goes by.

Some notable projects in my opinion (not in numerical order) for me is:

Okay, back to the website.

In my opinion, as visitor, for an online exhibition, which aimed to showcasing their undergraduate students' final project, this website is enough and accessible enough, and easily usable. They also advertised the event, which is a great idea, so that it could reach more people to see the exhibition. Although I am not sure if their goals is fulfilled already or not...

There are some improvement that I think the developer could do for future event, in my opinion:
  • The website is not responsive, yet.
    Unresponsive page in 100% scale.
This page here, is in 100% scale, but the content didn't match user screen. It could be solved easily (as the visitor) to change the resolution of their window, or just zoom out the page to certain percentage, for example, for me it's 67%, and the windows showed everything as full page, again.
    Unresponsive page in 67% scale.
  • There are no left and right button to move from one post to another post.
This mean, visitor needs to go back to the gallery again (and we are back to the top, again. not to certain position), which quite time consuming, especially if the visitor just wanted to see everything in quick glance.
  • Links in the post is not clickable.
There are some links included in the post. Such as this one in the seventh page. There are two links, yet both are unclickable. Visitor needs to block the text first to visit the links...
  • Like button limit reached.
It looks like some page has reached it's pageview limit, as the like button showing it reached it's limit already.
    Like button reached it's limit.
  • To comment, the only option is Facebook comment.
Not that crucial I think, as most visitor like me probably just wanted to take a quick glance over numerous projects here.

In summary, as the website's purpose is to exhibit undergraduate students' final projects only, the website is good enough. But some improvements definitely could upped their game in the future.

That's it from me. Thank you for reading and see you in the next post 🙋🏻‍♂️🙇🏻‍♂️
